After it has been released for the first time, back in 1988, the Suzuki Grand Vitara has been very successful and often seen on the road. The current generation is now presented on the market for more than a decade, and we are truly hoping that the carmaker will soon launch the next generation model. So, if the rumors appear to be true, we are about to see the all-new 2019 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Of course, we should take this information with a reserve, since there are no official data or photos yet. The Suzuki Grand Vitara is a mid-size crossover SUV which is relatively cheap considering what you get for that price. It features a clean and attractive exterior styling and nicely designed cabin. As for the technology, it is well equipped but it definitively needs some upgrades compared to its main rivals. Furthermore, it is good for an on-road drive but it also shows good off-road capabilities. However, taken all the facts, the Grand Vitara is definitively ready for some major upgrades since the SUV market is becoming outdated and it needs to stay competitive to continue its tradition as a very good seller. There are many rumors about the engine which will power the future 2019 Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, we believe that it will most likely feature the same engines as the current model. However, they should be more powerful. So, if this appears to be true, the Vitara SUV will get a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. This powertrain is able to make 166 hp and the torque of 162 pound-feet in the current model. It pairs with a 5-speed manual but in the newest 2019 model year, it could get the new dual-clutch automatic transmission. Like before, the all-wheel drive system will be standard. On the other hand, some sources claim that the carmaker will also offer a new engine. It could be a 1.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged unit. Unfortunately, the output and any further information are still unavailable. When it comes to exterior design, the Grand Vitara is a good-looking vehicle with relatively handsome styling which is now becoming a bit outdated. And, in order to the stay competitive, the carmaker will probably give it a much-needed redesign. So, for the 2019 Suzuki Grand Vitara, we can expect a complete makeover. The front fascia will most likely receive a new design of the grille and revised headlamps. They should receive new LED lighting too. The bumper could also be refreshed and the whole front end should feature more aggressive and modern appearance. On the rear end, we could also see reshaped taillights and new bumper as well. The new Suzuki is expected to ride on the new 18-inch alloy wheels. Speaking of the interior, the new 2019 Suzuki Grand Vitara will be revised with new, more quality materials and advanced tech features. The cabin is able to accommodate up to five passengers and we assume that it should feature a new design of the seats which should be more supportive and comfortable. The dashboard will be refreshed too and should get a new display with the latest infotainment system. The equipment will be upgraded and there should be more standard features this time. Some of them will be navigation, audio system, Bluetooth, keyless entry and so on. As for the safety, it should arrive standard with 6 airbags, a rearview camera, electronic stability control, a rearview camera and parking sensors. Unfortunately, there isn’t any official information about the release date of the 2019 Suzuki Grand Vitara. The pricing is also still not known for now.
